The 1998-99 Peoria Heights varsity scholastic bowl record of 32-23 was compiled over sixteen dates. In addition to being conference champions for the fourth consecutive year Stephen Woo and Ben Walbert were named to the all conference team. The team placed fourth at the ICC tournament with Woo being named to the all tourney team. He also earned fifth spot at the Peoria County tournament. The varsity won the Casimir Pulaski Day tournament.
The Frosh-Soph record was 19-8 on seven dates. The Frosh-Soph record included being conference champions with Woo winning the first all conference spot. They were also first at the Casimir Pulaski tournament and third at the River City tournament where David Mast earned first place all tourney honors.
The Frosh-Soph players included David Mast (with 32 F/S answers), Brian Redshaw (20), Crystey Switlik (4), Ben Walbert (20), Stephen Woo (58), Cheryl Boles (7), Ryan DeLong (10), and Emily Pauli (4), Mindy Adami (6), Jamie Darnell (24), Ian Munk (14), Melanie Rolett, Jessica Gonzalez, and Chrissy Shallenberger.
Varsity letters were awarded to senior Gene Schafer (34), junior Jeff Chase (18), sophomore Ben Walbert (86). Second year varsity pins were awarded to sophomores David Mast (56) and Stephen Woo (140). Woo also received a team captain pin. Junior Varsity letters were awarded to juniors Melissa Cooper (1) and David Lewis and freshmen Cheryl Boles (1), Jamie Darnell (1), Ryan DeLong (9), and Ian Munk. A second year pin was earned by Brian Redshaw (1). Certificates were awarded to Mindy Adami, Emily Pauli, Melanie Rolette, and Crystey Switlik.
Stephen Woo became a member of the 100 Club for those answering at least 100 varsity toss-up questions in one season. He received a plaque for this achievement.
