"Senior Farewell.."

Kirsten Pankey.
By Celena Hoffstatter
Staff Writer

This past Thursday, February 4, Kirsten Pankey played in her last home game with the Lady Patriots against Bushnell.

Our JV game was so close! Since the other coach pulled up varsity players, we were unable to win the game.

After the JV game, the girls lined up on the red volleyball line and Mr. Whalen announced Kirsten’s history in sports and her future plans. While Mr. Whalen was talking, Kirsten, her mother and her little sister walked across the gym while the audience roared with applause. They were greeted by Mr. Heath who shook their hands and handed Kirsten’s mother a rose to commemorate all of Kirsten’s years of dedication.

Kirsten played volleyball and basketball with the Lady Patriots and she ran track. She cheered at all the football and basketball games. She has put in countless hours of conditioning and training with every team she has been a part of.

After graduating, Kirsten plans on attending college and majoring in criminal justice.

We wish you the best in life Kirsten!
